Artist Statement
Influenced by her place of birth, Wood is guided by contemporary themes, and is strongly influenced by her West Coast roots. Wood's work is abstract, yet graphic; gestural yet rigid; a combination of dirty and slick. These juxtapositions meander through various pathways of texture and sensuality, sexuality, subversive roles of society and beyond.
Biography
Born in California, Brittni Wood now resides in Jacksonville, Florida. Working as a mixed media artist, Wood graduated with a BFA in painting and drawing from the University of North Florida in 2006.
