Artist Statement
The future is full Always what I’ve most wanted to portray are those things most personal to me – interior, exterior environs, and narrative statements. My vehicle through life has always been my art or vice versa.
Biography
Originally from Greenville and Edisto Island, S.C. via Atlanta College of Art, Sarasota, Fl., Indianapolis, Indiana (teaching at Indiana University and Herron School of Art) and back to Atlanta to set up a full-time painting and printmaking studio in an old warehouse loft. Twenty wonderful years (with short sabbaticals living and painting on the boat at Edisto and the St. Johns River). Love of the coast prompted a studio move to Fernandina Beach, the place of choice, a perfect setting to paint and make prints. The environment here offers more art inspiration than can be absorbed.
