May 7-May 31 2008 Downtown Satellite Gallery to feature Wave Portraits by Oscar Senn Please join us at our satellite location for an exhibition of Wave Portraits by Oscar Senn. Senn has embarked on a series of oil portraits that captures matchless moments of waves. "Every wave that washes ashore is as unique, in its own way, as a snowflake or a fingerprint. Like the people we love, each wave enters our life, then passes on - perhaps more beautiful for its transience." The ArtWalk wine and cheese reception will be held on May 7 from 5-8pm in the first floor lobby of LRK Architects in Downtown Jacksonville. Senn's Wave Portraits will be featured throughout the month of May. The satellite gallery is open Monday-Friday from 9am-5pm. Appointments are recommended. Join us to explore her contemporary work filled with brightly colored landscapes and scenes. The reception will be held from 5:30-7pm at The River Club, One Independent Drive, Suite 1400. The event presents the joining of two organizations sharing values of working within the community to inform and advocate art and design for everyone. This exhibition will feature artwork created by Architects, Architect Designers, and Interior Designers. Artists will include Elizabeth Dion of Elizabeth Dion Architecture, Retired Architect David Engdahl, Gary Mahan of Rink Design Partnership Inc, Hillary Massey of Gresham, Smith, and Partners, Christine Mullen of Shands Gainesville, Arnold Prato of Arnold Prato Architect P.A., Cynthia Walburn of Walburn Studios, formally Michael Walburn Architecture, Larry Wilson of Rink Design Partnership Inc, Laurin McCracken of Carter and Burgess in Fort Worth, TX and Wm. Coleman Mills of Walcott, Adams, Verneuille in Fairhope, AL. Opening reception with featured artists will be held at Fogle Fine Art on May 30 from 5-8pm.
